If you save your game before re-enabling the Custom Content, content may be removed from your saved game.

Check that the game is working correctly, then close the game without saving.

Note: If you have installed Custom Content, it has been disabled.

Go into gameplay mode to make sure everything is working correctly.

Mods: A blanket term referring to any player-made content for the game- this includes both Custom Content and Game Mods.

For example: a new trait, new console cheats, objects with new functionally, new UI functionality, etc. These Mods may include script code, but not always.

Game Mods: These are Mods that add features or change functionality of the game.

For example: new hair, new clothing, new furniture, etc. Sometimes just referred to in The Sims community as вЂњCCвЂќ.

Custom Content: This is the addition of player-made clothing or objects to the game.

I also got a pop up saying that I do not own the item anymore? Someone please help me, I just want to know if there is anything I can do thanks:( When I went into the sims almost all of my sims were naked because they could not wear the custom content clothes anymore since they were deleted. I had so much custom content clothes, and they are all gone now. I checked the recycling bin on my desktop, but there is nothing. She went in one of those folders and deleted EVERYTHING. I had a folder in my mods folder to organize all of my cc. I recently lost all my cc due to my friend accidentally deleting my sims 4 custom content. So I just saw this chat, and IвЂ™m hoping someone could help me before itвЂ™s too late. IвЂ™d love to know IвЂ™m a little (okay a LOT) concerned about these вЂњdisappearing cc foldersвЂќ messages, because I was told by a SimGuru (SGMS ID so not sure who that is, exactly) that we DO NOT have to ever remove our mods between updates, because the game update/repair routines are not supposed to touch (or even look at) those files anyway, just the ones in the actual PROGRAM folder (Not Documents stuff).

Would you mind, since youвЂ™ve seen this more than I have (IвЂ™m sure), to ask SGMS (etc) why some simmers are having vanishing folder issues? And if they could give us a clue about where those torpedoed files end up post-update/repair, that also would be sweet. After re enabling the mods go back to the sites where you downloaded the mods from and see if an updated version has been released or if other simmers have been having issues with the mods too.

Options | Other | Enable Custom Content and Mods. Go to options and tick the вЂќ enable custom content and modsвЂќ button which is found in : There is a new feature that when there is a game update, mods/cc are disabled. Is there any way to get this all back? Without downloading every thing again? Its still all in my mods folder, but its not showing up in game! What can/should I do? Please help. Ugh this makes me sooooo mad I had tons of CC. Anyways, I just updated my game and when I started it up, every single piece of custom content had disappeared.
